We advocate for multilevel cooperation with a focus on local participation. Through an interdisciplinary approach we support the gathering of knowledge, both indigenous and academic to build a concise and complete history for Southeast Asia. We believe that increasing awareness of Southeast Asian prehistory will present opportunities for local communities and lessen the effects of the presently defined socio-political boundaries, providing an opportunity to address social, environmental, and economic issues.
